December 23rd was my last day at work before taking a couple weeks off, and we had our first family gathering that night at my Uncle Mark & Aunt Amanda's house. It was fun to catch up with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We stayed late talking and laughing.

Christmas Eve we spent the day at my parents house. The girls made gingerbread houses while the boys went off to play with model planes and RC cars. We ended the night with our traditional Christmas eve Pjs & mini photo shoot.

We had so much fun making gingerbread houses together. My favorite was my mom's, she made a summer house for Olaf the snowman (bottom right).

{Tradition}
We were supposed to go to Marty's brother's house for Christmas, but because of severe weather warnings our plans got canceled. Marty and I decided to hurry and beat the storm and drive up to Marty's parents house so we could spend Christmas day with them. We arrived just before midnight on Christmas eve. We sure had fun surprising them & waking up to a white Christmas the next morning made it feel like a Hallmark movie.

Christmas night we drove home & spent the last few hours of Christmas with just the three of us.
After all that running around we were all pretty tired so we all settled down for a long winter's nap.
