Taste of the pug lyfe

I didn't choose the pug lyfe, the pug lyfe chose me.
Hey! I'm Pongo the pug puppy and I'm going to show you what life is like at my new crib!

If you don't think you can handle my hood-rat lifestyle, you better stop here.

My new parents take me outside a lot, which I love! And I'm already getting better at going potty outside! Mom and Dad are fo reals excited about this for some reason...

I pull thug faces when I feel like it.

We go for lots of car rides and I'm starting to like the idea of sticking my head out the window and feel the breeze in my face (just like a grown up dog).

My dad and mom take me for lots of walks and I'm starting to get the hang of this whole leash thing. I've discovered that I really don't like big bull-dogs to charge at me while I'm out walking and I make a really girly screaming sound when that happens (just keepin' it real).

Sometimes I protest going on walks by wrapping the leash around mom's leg 3-4 times, but she still takes me anyways.

Luckily she thinks I'm cute no matter what I do.

How do I stay so fresh you ask?

My secret is lots and lots of sleep... zzzzzzzzzzz

I fall asleep in whatever position feels right at the time.

Case and point.

and I snore.. a lot.

Sometimes I fall asleep while playing..

This is me 2 seconds later.

My favorite is when my mom or dad holds me while I sleep.

So there you have it homies.. the pug lyfe is the good lyfe.

Meet Pongo the pug

Marty and I have wanted a dog for a long time.. like since before we were married we talked about getting a dog together. For the past few months we've been researching breeds and what kind of dog would fit best with our lifestyle. After a lot of thought and research we came to a conclusion that a pug would be the perfect addition to our home. We've been checking KSL forever looking for the perfect puppies that weren't too far a way and for a good price. Then this morning, Marty called me from work and told me that on his break he had found the perfect puppies in Draper. He called the breeder and told her to hold one for us. We drove down there this afternoon and fell in love.. Love at first sight... ♥

Pongo was sitting at the top of the stairs just waiting for us. I knew as soon as I picked him up that he was the puppy we've been searching for...

Puppy facts:
  • We named him Pongo because 101 Dalmatians was one of my absolute favorite movies when I was a kid.
  • Pongo is a boy
  • He's 8 weeks old
  • He weighs 4.5 lbs.
  • His favorite toys are ropes and shoelaces
  • He is a pure bread pug

Right after we got him, we drove over to my parents house to surprise them. They claim to not be dog people, but they melted as soon as they saw Pongo's adorable wrinkly little face :)

He sleeps in the funniest positions and he has such a chill demeanor.

{He's so cute I almost can't handle it!}

{This is how he slept on the way home :) }

So in love with our new baby boy :) I will be posting more pics and video soon..

Labor day weekend

Another great weekend at Abbott Acres! We sure love it up there :) It's so nice to have a beautiful spot for all the Abbotts to hang out at. This weekend was filled with Family, beautiful fall leaves, 4-wheelin', campfire, shooting stars, naps, puppies, putting finishing touches on the mini cabin, and relaxation...

Symphony in the sky

Marty suggested we go on a drive tonight after the rain let up, and I am so glad we did!
We saw a double rainbow, crazy clouds, and a stunning sunset.
Perfect way to start the weekend with my love :)

& now to eat our orange sherbert cake that's coming out of the oven right now :]
