Golden Spike

A couple of weeks ago Marty and I went on an adventure to Golden Spike National Monument. Marty had never been, and it had been years since the last time I had been. It was fun to take a little day trip to the middle of nowhere. We just barely missed the anniversary of the Golden Spike, which was on May 10th, 1869.

Everyday the park rangers and volunteers put on reenactment shows.

We recommend taking a trip back in time to this important moment in Utah's history.  Golden Spike, is a fun and educational destination for a little road trip.
