Mountains of Mantua

This weekend Marty and I went on an adventure in Mantua, Utah. We went with the Abbotts and Cottons (Marty's parents and his sister Steph and her husband Chris) on a camping and 4-wheeling trip. Chris and Steph showed the rest of us a place we had never been before, there was so much more to Mantua than we ever thought. I have been past Mantua several times as it is located in Sardine canyon on the way to Logan.  We very much enjoyed taking a closer look the past couple of days.

The highlight was a 4-wheeling ride we took with Chris and Steph to the top of the mountain. It took us about 45 mins each way and reached an elevation of 9300 feet! It was a very dusty weekend (hence the dirt on our faces) but the view was worth all the dust.

Chris and Steph make pretty awesome tour guides :)

We looked like bank robbers trying to keep the dirt out of our lungs.

This was the view from about 3/4ths of the way up ↑

We could see Willard Bay and the Great Salt Lake

The wildflowers were gorgeous!

Here's our cute new tent :)

Evening walk

mmmm I love campfire!

There was an amazing full moon last night!

The trails were so beautiful and we had fun feeling like explorers.

Awesome weekend! Thanks Abbotts & Cottons!
