Friday: Date night
We had dinner at cafe Zupas ( we had never been there before) and we really enjoyed it! It's a very trendy and fresh eating experience. We recommend the California Turkey sandwich, Yum!
After dinner we attended a play at the Terrace Playhouse near our house. We saw 'Lend me a Tenor', it was a light-hearted comedic play that was all about situational irony. Marty knew one of the actors so it was fun to see him perform. It was very well done and a nice change from the usual dinner and a movie. Plus we can now check it off our summer bucket list!
To end the night we got pie at Village Inn. It was nice to feel like we were dating again, Thank you Marty for the fun date night! ♥
Saturday: Abbott territory/ temple night
Marty's parents recently bought 2 beautiful acres in Sunridge, near Huntsville, UT. They have been talking about it for years, but they finally purchased the land for their future dream cabin. Marty and I are very excited for many great sunridge campouts.

There were still some beautiful flowers around the property, we're excited for springtime up there!

There's a nice big flat area in the middle, perfect for camping.
We're pretty stoked :] Marty's already drawing up plans for a rope swing, hammock, and zip-line.
Afterwards I got a haircut and chopped off my hair! It's the shortest it's ever been! Then we headed to bountiful, and did some sealing sessions at the temple, it was so nice to be able to hear all the promises we are given with temple marriage all over again. We're pretty blessed :)
~and if that wasn't enough we saw a rainbow on our way home from the temple.
Sunday: Talk in church
Marty and I were assigned to speak in church and we were both pretty nervous to address our new ward, but I am happy to report that we both did an excellent job and we had several ward members come up to us and tell us we gave some of the best talks they had ever heard :) I spoke on the importance of becoming like little children and learning from their examples of faith, humility, and love. Marty spoke on the truth of the gospel and the reality that Joseph Smith did in fact see God the Father and His son Jesus Christ.
We've had an amazing weekend together, we're sad to see it end... But we're grateful for the opportunity we had this weekend to recognize the things that are important to us. We hope everyone else had a great weekend!
