3 months

We've been married three months today...

Our wedding seems so far away. 

Though grocery shopping now counts for a date,

and the economy fails to return a decent rate. 

We still laugh and whisper sweet nothings in the dark.

We still visit our dogs and walk them in the park.

Best friends forever and eternity, it's true. 

We press forward each day, ready for something new. 

It's hard to combine two lives down to one. 

But that doesn't stop us from having way too much fun. 

We now have a home of our own. 

We are humbled with how much we have grown. 

We have far more ups than downs. 

Our life is full of smiles, not frowns. 

It doesn't matter that we have a couch that doesn't match,

Or pants full of holes in need of a patch. 

We press on each day with work and school, 

But our nights together are what's really cool.

Dinner's ready when he walks in the door, 

I see his face and fall even more. 

We're not perfect, we still have stress, 

But that doesn't mean we love each other any less. 

We do the best that we can each day. 

Weekends are when we find time to play. 

We are grateful for our families being near by.

We are surprised by how fast time seems to fly. 

Life is full of surprises and curve balls, 

Come what may, even stumbles and falls. 

Someday our journey will be through, 

To each other we will always remain true. 

Till we're old and our heads are covered in white, 

We will not give up, not without a tremendous fight.
