Seven Peaks and Storage Units

Today we decided to take advantage of our pass-of-all-passes and go to seven peaks water park (formally raging waters). We had a pretty good time with just the two of us. We rode almost all the water slides, floated in the lazy river, and rode the waves in the wave pool.

*A heads up for others visiting Seven Peaks this summer: a few things have changed now that it's under new management and a new name.

  • They no longer allow coolers inside. They even check your bag for food. Only water bottles are allowed. (the guy ahead of us in line was pretty upset about this)
  • There are no more courtesy tubes. You have to pay to rent tubes, unless you paid for the tube pass with your season pass. & you only get a dollar/ tube back when you return your tube.
  • There's a lot of renovations going on. It might be better to wait a while before going because you feel like you're in a construction site. The park still looks a lot the same, except the slides have been painted bright colors.
  • Rules are enforced. There's a teenage power-trip at each corner, so don't try to bend any of the rules :P

Yesterday we helped our good friends and fellow adventurers, the Hugies, move. We are very sad to see them go, but we are glad that it's only for a few months. Justin Hugie is doing some job training in California for a job in Utah (lucky duck!) They left most of their stuff behind at a storage unit, so we didn't have to move them far. They left for Cali this morning and they are already there and getting settled in. We wish them the best and we're excited for more adventures when they return to Utah where they belong ;)
